Job DescriptionIf you are looking to kick start a rewarding career and make a real difference, come join our Supply Industrial Placement programme. You will work on one of the most exciting and significant sustainable energy projects our country has seen, being at the forefront of the UK’s climate‑change agenda and energy policy. Sizewell C is a nuclear new‑build project in Suffolk that, once completed, will supply dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years.
TheOpportunity
We’re recruiting students to join our Supply Chain Industrial Placement programme at our London office. Taking on a real job at a junior level, you’ll learn through hands‑on experience under the guidance of highly skilled and experienced colleagues.
What We’re Looking For- Discipline in Supply Chain, Business Management, Logistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance or Geography.
- A genuine interest in the energy industry and a passion for sustainability.
- Interest in working in major nuclear and infrastructure programmes.
- Open‑minded, flexible and agile thinking to succeed in a dynamic, fast‑paced project environment.
- A strategic mindset that brings innovative ideas.
- Effective interpersonal and ethical conduct, with integrity, humility and character.
- Strong communication skills to manage stakeholders while prioritising competing demands.
Over the course of this 12‑month programme you’ll immerse yourself in hands‑on learning, working on real‑world challenges that directly impact the energy industry. Most of your learning will be on‑the‑job, supported by your mentor and the teams around you. You’ll apply your academic training to genuine industry problems while completing modules that contribute towards your degree.
Previous students have been involved in projects such as:
- Supporting procurement processes from expression of interest to contract award.
- Supporting contract management of projects in a portfolio, including assessment of applications for payments and change control.
- Providing commercial support to the project management team in the effective delivery of contracts and reporting commercial data to senior leaders.
To be appointed to this role you must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which ordinarily requires you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

Sizewell C is one of the most exciting and largest new mega projects in the UK, at the forefront of the UK’s climate‑change agenda and energy policy. We are building a 3.2‑gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast, similar in design to Hinkley Point C. When built, it will generate low‑carbon electricity for at least 60 years, supplying over 6 million homes and supporting roughly 7 % of the UK’s electricity needs.
