Director of Operations

A financially strong UK contractor is making a long-term strategic investment in the energy sector and is now looking to appoint a senior leader to help build and lead its Energy division.

This is a build-from-the-ground-up opportunity
.

Over the next 3–4 years, the business plans to grow into large-scale solar, HV, ICP, utilities and EPCM capability
. This role will sit at the heart of that journey.

You’ll take ownership of the operational build-out of the Energy division, shaping how work is won, mobilised and delivered.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading EPC delivery across renewable energy projects (initially solar PV)
• Building the operating model for the Energy division
• Developing methodology, governance and delivery frameworks
• Recruiting and developing PMs and delivery teams
• Working closely with Business Development to support work-winning
• Owning programme, risk, cost and quality across projects
• Creating credibility and traction in the renewables and utilities market
• Supporting the long‑term move into HV / ICP / utilities / EPCM
