We are a leading recruitment agency looking to fill an exciting opportunity for a full‑time Behaviour Support Mentor to join a dynamic SEND School in Bedlington. Responsibilities- Develop and use strategies to manage and support pupils with challenging behaviour.
- Establish a 1:1 mentoring relationship with identified students.
- Create agreed action plans with students outlining the aims of the mentoring.
- Work alongside teachers, Heads of House and support staff to promote the effective use of behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate with parents to support improved individual children’s behaviour and ensure effective lines of communication between school and home.
- Work directly with individuals or groups to raise self‑esteem and confidence, aiming to improve pupils’ personal and social skills.
- Monitor progress in improving behaviour and maintain improvements once achieved.
