Are you a compassionate, resilient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next role?
We are working with highly supportive SEND Schools that are expanding their teams. Multiple positions are available, from long-term roles to flexible day-to-day supply.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist environment that supports pupils with a wide and complex range of needs and takes a therapeutic, holistic approach to education.
About the Role- Support pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), PMLD, SEMH and communication needs
- Work across EYFS-KS5, adapting to both 1:1 and small-group support
- Help implement individual EHCP targets and personalised learning programmes
- Use non-punitive, trauma-informed behaviour support strategies
- Assist with communication tools such as PECS, visual timetables, sensory regulation and AAC (training can be provided)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and behaviour support teams
- Promote independence, confidence and engagement in learning
- Support with personal care or mobility needs where required (training provided)
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, care, residential or youth work backgrounds all welcome)
- A calm, patient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- An understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
- A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
