Location: Greater London

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join a highly supportive and inclusive school in the Richmond upon Thames region. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced SEND practitioner or a teacher looking to further specialise in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

The successful candidate will work with pupils presenting a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning needs. You will deliver engaging, personalised lessons that promote academic achievement, independence, and social development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with EHCP outcomes
  • Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress effectively
  • Implement individual education plans and targeted interventions
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND
  • Strong understanding of EHCP processes and inclusive classroom strategies
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and resilient approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
