Clinical Simulation Fellow

We have an exciting opportunity for a Simulation Fellow to join our Clinical Simulation team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic, multi-professional team to support expansion of the clinical simulation provision under the GOSH Learning Academy. The post-holder will occupy an integral part of the Clinical Simulation Centre (CSC) team, which forms one of the 6 priorities under the GOSH Learning Academy (GLA).

The successful applicant will assist the development, delivery and evaluation of contemporary simulation-based programmes within and beyond Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Main duties of the job

Overall aims:

  • To contribute to the GOSH Learning Academy strategy via the development, delivery, and evaluation of simulation education.
  • To ensure that professional standards in education are met and exceeded.

To be part of the team developing, delivering, and evaluating simulation-based activities within and beyond GOSH.

To support the expansion of the CSC portfolio, embedding emerging technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), within new and existing programmes.

To assist learners and supervisors in identifying development needs and provide tailored support to ensure effective learning.

  • To participate in teaching & training on other courses and educational programmes as agreed with the Head of Education for Simulation

Person Specification Academic/Professional qualification/Training Essential
  • Primary Medical Qualification - MBBS or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration (current or achievable by start date)
  • MRCPCH, FRCA, MRCS or equivalent professional exam
  • ST3-8 UK trainee, or equivalent relevant experience
Desirable
