DT Teacher / Design & Technology Teacher - September 2026 - Permanent

An outstanding secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a DT Teacher / Design & Technology Teacher to join the staff on a permanent basis in September 2026. The role requires a specialist in resistant materials and a capacity to teach KS4‑KS5 Design & Technology, ideally across multiple DT specialisms.

You will be a member of a team consisting of four DT teachers and two support staff, supported by a school that has achieved four consecutive ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings and ranks in the top 7 % nationally for pupil progress. The environment is friendly, supportive and focused on modern, engaging curriculum delivery.

• Teach KS4‑KS5 Design & Technology, with a focus on resistant materials and other DT specialisms.
• Work collaboratively with a team of four DT teachers and support staff to plan, deliver and assess lessons.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the continual improvement of the DT department.
• Engage with pupils to promote their creative and technical skills within a high‑quality learning environment.

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent experience as a DT teacher within a mainstream secondary school.
• For recent Early Career Teachers (ECTs), relevant PGCE or training experience will be considered.
• Proven ability to work effectively across KS3 to KS5 (preferably KS4‑KS5).
