GSL Education London Branch is excited to be recruiting a Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Barking and Dagenham. This is an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to inspire young learners and bring music to life across the curriculum.

Music Teacher Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and high-quality music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that inspire students and promote creativity.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support improvement.
  • Develop students’ skills in performing, composing, and listening across a range of musical styles.
  • Support extracurricular music activities, such as school concerts, bands, or choirs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop the music curriculum.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
Music Teacher Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK secondary music curriculum.
  • Ability to teach a wide range of musical styles and instruments.
  • Experience in classroom management and engaging students in learning.
  • Passion for inspiring young people and encouraging their creative talents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom.
