We are looking for a WSLT – Whole School Literacy Lead to join our English team in a school that offers excellent opportunities for professional development. Ada Lovelace is one of four Twyford Trust schools, a successful multi‑academy Trust based in the Borough of Ealing.
We offer comprehensive CPD, exciting development opportunities and strong promotion prospects for our teachers. The department seeks to deliver an outstanding, three‑tiered curriculum to students of all National Curriculum levels. Students are driven to succeed and progress is monitored through half‑termly assessments. We work collaboratively to create a curriculum that inspires, challenges and nurtures students using ambitious outcomes that lead to thorough subject knowledge and sustained progress.
As a WSLT – Whole School Literacy Lead, you will shape and lead whole‑school literacy strategy, drive change and champion excellent practice across all departments. You will strengthen literacy provision, support colleagues and contribute to a shared vision for continuous improvement across the school. The role is suited to someone motivated by collaboration, inspiring learners and contributing to shared goals.
We value staff time and professional growth. Students finish early on Fridays, giving staff dedicated CPD time every Friday afternoon. Our commitment to staff wellbeing aligns with excellence, with a centralised academic curriculum and shared pastoral systems.
We provide opportunities to deepen subject knowledge, engage in research and undertake further qualifications such as National Professional Qualifications (NPQs). Our CPD programme is comprehensive and forward‑thinking, keeping staff up to date with latest developments in pedagogy and curriculum design.
