About ONELAB College

ONELAB College is a specialist Further Education provider for young people aged 16-25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Our curriculum is built around one principle:
Design. Make. Sell.

Ideas matter.

Execution matters more.

We combine creativity, accredited qualifications and commercial awareness to prepare learners for adulthood, employment and higher education.

Our learners are not attending to stay busy.

They are here to build real skills, gain recognised qualifications and develop independence.

Everything we design must lead to progression, completion and meaningful outcomes.

Designed for Progression, Not Just Participation

ONELAB is a structured educational environment.

We do not deliver isolated activities or one-off creative sessions.

Every project forms part of a coherent curriculum that builds knowledge, skill and independence over time.

Learning is cumulative.

Skills are introduced with intention.

Practised with purpose.

Refined through feedback.

Assessed against clear standards.

Applied beyond the studio in meaningful contexts.

Creativity is important.

Progression and completion are essential.

This role is suited to professionals who want to develop as creative education practitioners and who place sustained learner progress at the centre of their work.

The Role

As Design Instructor, you will lead curriculum delivery within a studio-based SEND environment.

You will:

  • Plan and deliver progressive design curriculum
  • Break complex creative skills into structured, teachable stages
  • Apply adaptive curriculum approaches aligned to learner needs
  • Track and evidence attainment rigorously
  • Contribute to EHCP implementation and Annual Reviews
  • Prepare learners for accredited qualifications such as UAL or Pearson
  • Ensure work reaches a portfolio‑ready professional standard
  • Maintain safeguarding and professional documentation

This is structured, accountable education; not a drop‑in workshop model.

The Standard

Success at ONELAB requires:

  • Ownership without constant supervision
  • High standards of completion and quality
  • Clear, confident and adaptive communication
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills
  • Responsiveness to learner understanding and need
  • Commitment to long‑term educational impact

Strong communication is essential. You must be able to model, explain, reframe and adjust in real time. Our learners rely on clarity, consistency and raised expectations.

What We Are Looking For
  • A relevant degree in Design or a related discipline
  • Teaching experience
  • Confidence managing both curriculum and studio environment
  • Commitment to long‑term professional development in creative education

This role suits individuals who:

  • Want to build a career in creative education
  • Value structure as much as creativity
  • Take pride in measurable learner outcomes
  • Are motivated by learner success rather than personal agenda
Why Join ONELAB

We are innovative and accountable.

We are creative and outcomes driven.

We are ambitious and disciplined.

Our learners deserve more than engaging sessions.

They deserve structured education, challenge and real opportunity.

Design. Make. Sell. is not branding.

It is a working standard.

If you are ready to contribute to a learner‑first, impact‑driven creative education environment, we welcome your application.
