Location: Greater London

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center.

As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril’s global communications team is responsible for shaping how the world understands modern defense technology—and why it matters. We’re seeking a Director of Communications to lead Anduril’s external communications strategy in the UK.
You will build and execute a UK communications program that advances Anduril’s brand, narrative, and presence across the market for a mature, fast‑growing UK business.

You’ll serve as the lead storyteller and strategist for how Anduril shows up across media, analysts, and the broader ecosystem of thinkers, technologists, and institutions shaping the UK's defense future. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist and operator, someone who is comfortable navigating geopolitical complexity, and can balance long‑term narrative shaping with near‑term execution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Execute Anduril's communications strategy for the UK market, driving tactical engagement aligned with immediate business priorities and contract opportunities.
  • Lead day‑to‑day media relations with UK defense, technology, business, and policy journalists to support active campaigns and business development efforts.
  • Support Anduril's positioning as we compete for major UK defense contracts, managing communications through procurement cycles and stakeholder engagement periods.
  • Manage Anduril's UK communications agency, ensuring tight coordination on messaging, rapid response, and targeted media outreach.
  • Build and maintain direct relationships with UK defense and technology journalists, ensuring Anduril secures consistent, quality coverage in priority outlets.
  • Partner closely with the UK General Manager on market‑specific campaigns, product demonstrations, partnership announcements, and stakeholder events.
  • Develop communications plans that position Anduril as a major employer and long‑term industrial partner in the UK, supporting recruitment, community relations, and local presence‑building.
  • Coordinate with global communications and policy teams to localize messaging for UK audiences while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Own UK‑specific metrics for media coverage, stakeholder engagement, and reputation tracking.
  • Identify tactical opportunities to insert Anduril's voice into UK defense debates, parliamentary discussions, and industry forums.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8–10 years of experience in communications, public affairs, or media relations, with demonstrable experience in the UK defense, technology, or government sectors.
  • Strong existing relationships with UK defense and technology media, and familiarity with the UK MoD procurement landscape.
  • Proven ability to execute fast‑paced communications campaigns tied to business objectives, including contract bids and partnership launches.
  • Experience managing UK‑based PR agencies and delivering measurable results through structured campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing and messaging skills—able to craft sharp, persuasive content for UK audiences across government, media, and industry.
  • Comfortable working at pace, managing multiple work streams, and delivering under deadline pressure.
  • High judgment and discretion when navigating sensitive procurement processes and stakeholder relationships.
You'll excel in this role if you:
  • Are highly responsive and execution‑focused, balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.
  • Know how to get things done in the UK defense ecosystem—understanding who to call, when to move, and how to land a message.
  • Thrive in supporting…
