Job Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated ADHD Teaching Assistant for a vibrant educational setting located in Wandsworth, London.
Location:
Wandsworth, London
Contract:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm
Salary: £90–£95 per day
- Provide tailored support to children with ADHD, adapting your approach to meet their individual learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher to implement educational plans and behavioural strategies.
- Assist in creating a structured learning environment that helps students focus and engage in classroom activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour and social interactions while understanding the unique challenges faced by students with ADHD.
- Monitor and report on the students’ progress, working closely with other educational professionals and parents to ensure the best outcomes.
- Facilitate small group activities and workshops designed to bolster key skills and academic achievements.
- Relevant experience as a teaching assistant or working with children with ADHD or similar needs is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic understanding of the challenges faced by students with ADHD.
- Ability to remain patient, composed, and innovative in challenging situations.
- NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
This is a temporary position unless stated otherwise.
