Teacher of PE; Maternity Cover

About The Role

South Hampstead High School has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, energetic and inspiring full-time PE Teacher to join our hugely successful PE Department on a maternity cover basis. The position will involve delivering high-quality PE lessons to pupils from EYFS through to Upper Sixth and contributing to our extra-curricular programme.

Teach and develop a wide range of sports and activities within the curriculum, including netball, football, dance, gymnastics, athletics, cross‑country and cricket. Deliver lessons to Junior and Senior School PE (EYFS to Sixth Form) and support all areas of the curriculum.

Experienced teacher with a proven track record of excellent PE teaching, or a well‑qualified graduate or ECT with a passion for sport looking to begin a rewarding career in teaching.

There are currently 7 full‑time and 4 part‑time staff, plus around 8 external instructors. Each member of the department is expected to teach all areas of the curriculum and both Junior and Senior School PE.
