Pastoral Lead – Secondary School – Abbey Wood
We are recruiting an experienced and compassionate Pastoral Lead to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Abbey Wood.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about student wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development.
The Role:- Leading on pastoral care for a designated year group or key stage
- Supporting students with behaviour, attendance and wellbeing
- Working closely with SLT, safeguarding leads and teaching staff
- Building strong relationships with parents and external agencies
- Implementing behaviour strategies and early intervention support
- Promoting a positive, inclusive and safe school culture
- Has previous pastoral, behaviour or safeguarding experience in a secondary setting
- Demonstrates strong leadership and organisational skills
- Is calm, resilient and able to manage challenging situations effectively
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable and at-risk students
