KS1; Year 2 Class Teacher

As the Year 2 Teacher, you will guide pupils through a crucial stage of their learning journey—helping them build strong foundations in social skills, early reading, writing, and numeracy. The ideal candidate will bring warmth, energy, and a nurturing approach to ensure every child feels confident, supported, and eager to learn each day.

You’ll be joining a friendly Key Stage 1 team who collaborate closely, share ideas, and are committed to creating a positive, engaging environment where children thrive.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching in KS1 (Year 2 preferred)
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics delivery
• A valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Confident planning, delivering and assessing high-quality lessons

• Passion for supporting early learners
• Excellent phonics/literacy knowledge
• Strong behaviour management and a nurturing classroom presence
• Creativity to make lessons inspiring and accessible
• Clear communication, teamwork, and a child-centred mindset
