Position: Autism Teaching Assistant (Permanent, Contract, Temporary, Part Time, Apprenticeship)

Hours:

8:45am - 3.30pm Pay: £100 - £115 per day

ASAP Essential Requirement:
Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car

A specialist school in Greenwich is seeking committed Teaching Assistants to support students agedwith Autism and a range of neurodivergent needs. You would need to support 1:1 with students and support their learning and wellbeing.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with Autism and additional needs such as ADHD, SEMH and other developmental challenges. You'll work closely with teachers to help students access learning, develop independence and build confidence. The role includes both one-to-one support and small-group work within the classroom.

We're Looking For Candidates Who:

Have experience supporting children or young people with additional or complex needs
Are confident working in a classroom environment
Work effectively as part of a team
Are patient, adaptable and responsive to individual pupil needs
Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 - desirable but not essential)

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to pupils with Autism and related needs
Assist with classroom routines and learning activities
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
Support small group sessions and individual interventions
Contribute to the wider life of the school community
