By the time children leave this setting for primary school, they should be fully prepared to flourish in all aspects of school life.

The main responsibilities of this job role will include:

• Working towards Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
• Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
• Providing a range of activities that ensure children learn while having fun.
• Being a team player.
• Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children.
• Taking part in First Aid training as required.
• Ensuring equal opportunity in delivery, access, and attitude in service delivery.
• Collaborating with teams across the nursery setting.
• Supporting children’s learning and development.
• Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for children.
• Preparing food for breakfast, snacks, and afternoon tea.
• Supporting children’s self-help needs.
• Being creative and enthusiastic.
• Following safeguarding rules and regulations to meet the standards of the Childcare Apprenticeship.

Level 3 Early Years Educator:
Your apprenticeship will last for 14 months. You will be supported by Lead Support Coaches and a nursery mentor. You will work full-time in the nursery, with classroom days conducted online as remote sessions. Your main childcare apprenticeship work will be done in a nursery near you.

To be eligible, you must have GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 4 or above, or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2, and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.

Expected career progression includes developing into a Level 3 practitioner, with potential for a full-time position upon successful completion. Other prospects include:

• Further development within the current nursery setting
• Room leader positions and management roles
• Springboard into primary education
• Paediatric nursing
