Start Date:
ASAPA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and energetic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a small, welcoming, one-form entry school in the Hampstead Heath area. This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about working with young children and enjoys creating a fun, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
The Role
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will be based in the Nursery, working closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. The school is looking for a candidate who is not only experienced in working with young children but also brings creativity, energy, and a sense of fun to their work.
You will play a key role in:
Supporting the delivery of high-quality, creative, and stimulating learning experiences.
Encouraging children’s curiosity, independence, and love of learning through play-based activities.
Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion, and social development in a nurturing environment.
Observing and assessing children’s progress and contributing to regular reporting and planning discussions.
Assisting with day-to-day classroom routines, ensuring the classroom remains safe, welcoming, and inspiring.
The school is seeking someone who is:
Energetic, approachable, and able to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Creative and confident in delivering fun, interactive, and engaging learning activities.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
The School
This creative and community focused primary school is located in the heart of Hampstead. Led by a committed leadership team, the school is rated “good” by Ofsted and is known for its nurturing ethos, inclusive culture, and strong pastoral care. Within the EYFS, there is a strong emphasis on play-based and discovery learning, encouraging children to explore, create, and develop key early skills in a stimulating, well-resourced environment.
This is a full-time contract role with an immediate start offered on an ongoing basis. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in the early years of children’s education, in a small school that values enthusiasm, innovation, and a love of learning.
