Location: Various locations across South East London (Bexley and surrounding areas)
Salary: Starting from £12ph (depending on age, qualifications, and experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Sessional contracts available
We are recruiting for a leading provider of childcare provision for children and young people in London who are looking for a Sports Coach to join their growing team to deliver PE and school sport lessons and after school sports-based wraparound activities.
They work across schools and communities delivering sport, education, and creative interventions programmes, including wraparound care, after school clubs, holiday clubs, and specialist provision for some of the most vulnerable young people.
This role is perfectly suited for an experienced sports coach looking for a change in role, additional hours, or to work in a different environment and gain further experience as there will be flexibility to work around your availability and other commitments.
The RoleAmongst other things, you ll be needed to:
Deliver after school sports clubs for primary aged children
Devise and organise sessions relevant to the attending children
Liaise with school and parents regarding the programme delivery
Maintain positive relationships with schools, parents and children
Implement and uphold appropriate Safeguarding, Health and Safety and all other relevant policies associated to the company and delivery
Support wraparound care programmes in mainstream school settings
Engage children through structured play, creative activities and PE
Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role
As a Sports Coach, you will ideally bring:
Experience working with children and young people in a coaching, education or youthwork environment
A background in sportscoaching or creative activity planning and delivery
Relevant qualifications in education, sportscoaching, youthwork or childcare (or willingness to train)
Experience supporting children with SEND
An up-to-date DBS
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Empathy, patience, and resilience
Flexibility and adaptability to work across different settings and environments
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
Full and clean driving licence
