A supportive and inclusive school in Brent is seeking a compassionate and proactive Pastoral Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development.

The Role
As a Pastoral Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide emotional and behavioural support to pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
* Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH)
* Help pupils regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies
* Support behaviour management and promote positive conduct across the school
* Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, safeguarding leads, and external agencies
* Support attendance, punctuality, and engagement in learning
* Act as a trusted adult, building strong and positive relationships with pupils
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to pastoral plans and interventions
About You
* Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting in the UK
* Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Ability to build positive relationships and act as a role model
* Resilient, reliable, and emotionally intelligent
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
