Position: Teaching Assistant (Permanent, Contract, Temporary)
Role information
To provide high-quality learning and pastoral support to pupils within the classroom, working closely with the class teacher to promote academic progress, positive behaviour for learning, and a love of learning. This includes maintaining professional boundaries, reporting concerns promptly, and contributing to a safe, supportive learning environment for all pupils.

* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to promote self-esteem, independence, and social inclusion

* Support pupils’ academic progress and engagement in learning activities

* Promote high standards of behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy and guidance on physical intervention

* Support pupils with additional needs by implementing strategies outlined in personalised plans to reduce barriers to learning
