GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Newham.

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a key role in supporting students, providing tailored 1:1 SEN support, and working closely with class teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

Work closely with students who require additional learning and behavioural support.
Assist with classroom activities, helping students to understand lessons and stay engaged.
Maintain high standards of professionalism while adhering to school procedures and safeguarding policies.
Collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff to ensure students receive the best possible support.
Encourage confidence, independence, and respectful conduct within the classroom.
Support teachers with learning materials and classroom organisation.
Requirements:

Proven experience and a good understanding of Year 5 curriculum and classroom practice.
Recent, relevant experience working within a primary school setting.
Confidence in providing 1:1 SEN support to meet individual learning needs.
Ability to follow school policies and work collaboratively as part of a team.
A strong standard of spoken and written English.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
Updated CV covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps.
