Woodentots Montessori Nature Babies is the perfect home-from-home for any baby starting their Montessori journey. They created a homely, nurturing environment to prepare babies for the next stage of childcare, with a sustainability-focused ethos that aligns with Woodland Wanderers’ pre-school values, offering continuity of holistic childcare for children from 3 months through to 5 years. The Woodentots Nature Babies classroom is designed for babies from 3 months up to 2 years 4 months, with a calm and cosy environment that echoes a comforting, womb-like atmosphere.

Imaginative play and Montessori-inspired activities support sensory development, cognitive growth, independence, and creativity. Daily Candle Time and circle time accompany lunch, and outdoor exploration is part of every day in the garden using the “turtle bus” to access nature.

• Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
• Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures the child learns whilst having fun.

• Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children.
• Taking part in First Aid training as required.
• Ensuring equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery.
• Working with teams across the nursery setting.
• Supporting children’s learning and development.
• Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
• Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
• Supporting children’s self-help needs.
• Being creative and enthusiastic.
• Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.

Your Apprenticeship will last 14 months. You will be supported by Lead Support Coaches throughout your Apprenticeship, as well as a mentor within the nursery. You will be working full time in the nursery. Your classroom days will be based online as a remote session for which you will need to be fully available, and your main apprenticeship work will be done in a nursery local to you.

You will need Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4 or above or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2 and be living in the UK for a minimum of 3 years in order to be eligible.

• Developing into a Level 3 practitioner, with the potential of a full-time position upon successful completion.
• Other prospects could include: room leader positions, management, Springboard into primary education, paediatric nursing, and more.
