Overview
SEND Teaching Assistant
We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to support children and young people aged between 7 and 19 years in specialised settings with their overall learning development at a well-established SEND school in Uxbridge.
Location and DetailsLocation: Uxbridge
Hours: Full-time, part time Monday to Friday (Term time only)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Paid to scale
About the RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEND or additional needs. Your role will be vital in helping pupils reach their full potential whilst creating a safe learning environment supporting their overall wellbeing
Responsibilities- Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering lessons
- Supporting individual pupils, including those with additional needs
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour
- Preparing resources and classroom displays
- Promoting a positive learning environment
- Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools (essential)
- Previous SEND Teaching Assistant experience working with children (in a school or similar setting)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for education and helping children thrive
- Experience supporting SEND needs on a 1:1 basis
