Position Summary
Our Senior Learning Coaches support students to succeed in achieving learning goals and qualifications to enhance progression opportunities and life skills. They also assist with the planning and delivery of workshop sessions, learning and assessment for learners with learning disabilities/difficulties including autism and complex needs.
Working Hours & Salary1 x 36 hours a week over 40 weeks a year term time only
£26,124 - £28,505 per annum (Primarily Foundation Learning)
1 x 28 hours a week over 38 weeks a year term time only
£19,302 - £21,062 per annum (Primarily Aurora department)
(Full Time Equivalent £29,470 - £32,156 per annum)
Role OverviewWed like you to have recent experience of working with and supporting students aged 16-25 with a range of needs and be able to work flexibly in response to changing curriculum needs and the needs of individual students. With a positive can-do attitude and an enthusiastic personality, you will be able to communicate effectively at all levels and demonstrate a high level of computer literacy.
ResponsibilitiesSupport students with a range of learning needs; deliver workshop sessions; plan learning and assessment for learners with learning disabilities and complex needs; source work experience placements for young people with additional needs.
QualificationsRecent experience working with students aged 16-25; flexible working; positive can-do attitude; enthusiastic personality; high level of computer literacy; experience in a specialist school or college is an advantage; experience sourcing work experience placements for young people with additional needs is an advantage.
