Aboutthe Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at Brighton College Prep Kensington, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of our pupils across all key stages. You’ll work closely with teachers to plan, deliver, and assess engaging learning activities – including occasional whole‑class supervision. With your advanced knowledge and initiative, you’ll help shape an inclusive, stimulating environment that supports every child’s learning journey.
Your role will also involve mentoring other support staff, managing resources, and liaising with parents and external professionals as needed.
This full‑time role is term‑time only (plus INSET), with working hours from 8 am to 5 pm and a start date as soon as possible.

Who we are looking forYou’re an experienced and confident HLTA with significant experience of working with children in education. You hold relevant qualifications and have a sound understanding of national curriculum strategies and child development. You’re skilled at adapting learning to individual needs, using ICT tools effectively, and bringing creativity to your teaching approach. Organised, supportive, and a strong communicator, you thrive in a collaborative team and enjoy leading by example.
