About the Role
Teach Now is proud to be working with a large, modern primary school in the London Borough of Brent to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in Autism (ASD) for a full-time, permanent position starting in February 2026.
This is a well-resourced school with purpose-built learning spaces, specialist SEN facilities, and a strong commitment to inclusive education. The school has an established SEN team and a proactive leadership group that prioritises professional development and staff wellbeing.
You will be supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, some of whom may be non-verbal, across EYFS, KS1, or KS2. The role may involve 1:1 support or small-group work, helping pupils access learning, develop communication skills, and regulate emotionally within the school environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about SEN education and keen to develop specialist skills, with access to ongoing CPD, training, and progression opportunities within a supportive setting.
Applicants Should:
· Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
· Have experience working with pupils with Autism (ASD)
· Be confident supporting non-verbal pupils and using alternative communication methods
· Have SEN-related experience or training (preferred)
· Be calm, patient, and consistent in their approach
· Work well as part of a multidisciplinary SEN team
· Be committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
Our Client Can Offer You:
· A modern, spacious school environment with excellent SEN resources
· A dedicated SEN leadership and support team
· Extensive CPD and SEN-specific training opportunities
· A clear structure and consistent routines
· A rewarding role supporting pupils with complex needs
· A school that genuinely values and invests in its SEN staff
