Secondary English Teacher

Egypt Education Platform is excited to announce an Immediate Hiring opportunity for a passionate and skilled Secondary English Teacher to join our esteemed team at "GEMS British International School in Madinaty ". We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is ready to inspire students and foster a love for English language and literature.

This position will be based in Cairo, Egypt. We are prioritizing candidates who have international experience in the British curriculum.

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners and align with the British curriculum.
• Utilize various instructional strategies and resources to promote student understanding and interest in English subjects.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the learning experience through interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
• Encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities related to language and literature, such as speech contests and book clubs.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding students’ academic performance and development.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching English at the Secondary level is essential.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably within the framework of the British curriculum.
• Strong understanding of English language and literature with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Acreative and adaptable teaching approach that caters to various learning styles.
• Commitment to professional growth and active participation in school activities.
• PGCE certificate is an advantage.
