About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Part‑time SEN Teaching Assistant to work on Monday and Tuesdays. This will be supporting students in KS2 with EHCPs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings
  • Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using appropriate strategies
  • Support pupils with personal care where required
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and agency staff
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have experience working with children with SEN in a primary school or similar setting (essential or highly desirable)
  • Be patient, nurturing, and resilient
  • Have a good understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive practice
  • Be flexible and reliable, with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Hold relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) or equivalent experience
