Are you a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A well-respected SEN school in Merton is seeking a KS1 Class Teacher to join their team in April 2025. - 🔹 Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of KS1 students with SEN.
- 🔹 Use a range of communication and teaching strategies to support children with autism, speech & language needs, and learning difficulties.
- 🔹 Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- 🔹 Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
- 🔹 Track student progress and implement EHCP targets effectively.
- 🔹 Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
- 🔹 Support students'
social, emotional, and communication development through creative and multi-sensory learning approaches.
- ✅
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Primary or SEN specialism preferred. - ✅
Experience working with children with SEN
, particularly in KS1 or Early Years
. - ✅ A patient, nurturing, and adaptable teaching style to support diverse learning needs.
- ✅ A strong understanding of EHCPs, differentiated learning, and behaviour management strategies
. - ✅ Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance student learning and development.
- ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
