KS2 Level 1 TA; SEN

Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated, energetic, and caring KS2 Teaching Assistant to join the fantastic team at a Specialist SEND School in Lewisham starting ASAP.

This school specialises in education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including ASC, ADHD, and SEMH. Their multi‑disciplinary team works seamlessly to support pupils who have experienced adversity, trauma, and associated mental health challenges, helping them thrive and succeed.

• Hours:
  
  8:30 am – 4:00 pm

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons to a small class of 7 pupils (one of which receives 1:1 support)
• Providing in‑class support for individual students and small groups
• Creating a fun, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Developing and implementing bespoke interventions for students in partnership with teaching staff

• A team player with a can‑do attitude
• Able to set firm boundaries while building positive relationships
• Able to demonstrate patience whilst relationships develop
• High energy, creativity and the ability to effectively support individual pupil needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with SEN children in an educational setting
• A passion for education and helping students thrive
• A relevant TA qualification would be beneficial, but not necessary
