The Role – HLTA
Seeking a skilled HLTA to support teaching and learning for pupils aged 11–16 in a specialist school setting. The role includes planning, delivering and adapting structured lessons and targeted interventions for individuals and small groups. You will prepare differentiated resources, lead learning sessions in the classroom, support pupils to remain regulated and engaged and provide cover for lessons where required. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will help monitor progress, contribute to assessments and reports, support behaviour management strategies and maintain consistent routines to create a calm, supportive learning environment.
The School – HLTA
This school is a specialist independent school in Redbridge, a close walk from an Elizabeth line stop. This school supports pupils aged 6–18 who have experienced difficulties sustaining mainstream education. The school is built on a strong ethos of respect, consistency and positive relationships, with a clear focus on helping pupils feel safe, understood and ready to learn. Through a personalised curriculum, small class sizes and strong pastoral support, they aim to re-engage pupils with education and support both their academic progress and personal development.
In their most recent Ofsted report (May 2025), the school was rated ‘Good’ overall with their aim to achieve ‘Outstanding’ in their next report.
