SANZA Teaching Agency is working with an independent school in Barking & Dagenham. The school specialises in educating young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

They are seeking a calm, nurturing English teacher for KS3 & KS4 to join their team.

You must have experience teaching KS3 & KS4 GCSE English. The school is open to applications from qualified or unqualified teachers (not holding QTS).

About You
  • Must have experience as a KS3/KS4 English teacher.
  • Ideally have QTS, but the school is open to unqualified teachers with the right experience.
  • Previous experience supporting behaviour challenges, ideally within a SEMH/PRU setting.
  • Ready to commit to a full-time role – these students are vulnerable and need consistency.
  • Possesses a calm demeanour, but is firm and able to assert clear boundaries.
  • Has a genuine interest in pastoral care and supporting vulnerable young people.

This position would suit a teacher with experience in mainstream settings who is keen to transition to working within SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health).
