💷 Salary: NJC Scale 6 - SO1 (dependent on experience)
This is a specialist setting that offers short to medium-term, intensive support for a small number of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Pupils benefit from a highly structured, nurturing, and therapeutic approach designed to support:
- Emotional regulation
- Positive relationships
- Engagement with learning
A key focus of the provision is successful reintegration into mainstream classes and activities, where appropriate.
The RoleAs Family Liaison Officer, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening partnerships between the school, families, and external agencies to ensure positive outcomes for pupils with SEMH needs.
Key responsibilities- Supporting families through induction, ongoing placement, and graduated reintegration into mainstream education
- Acting as a key point of contact between school, families, and external agencies
- Providing safeguarding leadership and ensuring best practice
- Offering learning mentor-style SEND support to pupils
- Ensuring a consistent, nurturing, and well-coordinated journey for pupils and their families
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with SEMH and/or SEND pupils
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience supporting families and working within multi-agency frameworks
- A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach
