Role OverviewAs the ARP Class Teacher, you will lead teaching and learning within the Additionally Resourced Provision, providing tailored support to pupils while promoting inclusion, progress, and wellbeing. You will work closely with senior leaders, the SENDCo, families, external professionals, and the Local Authority to ensure aspirational outcomes for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and delivering highly personalised teaching and learning for pupils with complex SEND
- Leading and developing provision within the ARP setting
- Supporting inclusion within the wider school community
- Working with EHCPs and contributing to reviews and assessments
- Collaborating with parents, therapists, and external agencies
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience working in SEND settings, including ARP or specialist provision
- Has strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCPs
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
- Uses a calm, nurturing approach underpinned by high expectations
- Has a strong understanding of child development
- Has experience or knowledge of working with pupils with ASC, learning difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties
- Is confident in managing behaviour positively
- Values collaborative working and ongoing professional development
- Is supportive of and committed to the Catholic ethos of the school
