Primary SEN Teacher - Mainstream Primary School (May 2026)

Are you a passionate Primary SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity in a welcoming mainstream primary school?
Do you have experience supporting pupils with Autism and ASD, delivering targeted interventions, and making a real difference to children's learning?

Academics is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham, seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary SEN Teacher to join their supportive team from May 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working flexibly across KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils both in small groups and whole-class settings. You will play a key role in delivering structured interventions and helping pupils with Autism and ASD make meaningful progress across the curriculum.

This inclusive mainstream primary school supports pupils across KS1 and KS2, with a strong commitment to SEN and inclusion. The school has a collaborative ethos and works closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and external professionals to ensure pupils with additional needs are fully supported academically, socially, and emotionally.

Salary: M3-UPS1 (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions for pupils with Autism and ASD across KS1 and KS2.

Work with individuals and small groups to support learning, communication, and social development.

Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.

Collaborate closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to provide consistent and effective support.

Create a structured, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.

Uphold high professional standards and safeguarding practices in line with school policies.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Have completed an undergraduate degree.

Have experience supporting pupils with Autism and ASD, ideally within a mainstream primary setting.

Have experience delivering interventions and working with pupils across KS1 and KS2.

Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
