New Chapter Tuition is recruiting a compassionate and experienced SEN Tutor to deliver 1:1 tuition to children and young people across Merton. This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity for professionals who are passionate about supporting learners with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities as a SEN Tutor

* Deliver 1:1, personalised tutoring to learners with SEN/SEND

* Plan and adapt sessions in line with individual learning and care plans

* Support learners’ academic progress, engagement, and emotional wellbeing

* Build positive relationships with learners, families, and professionals

* Monitor progress and maintain accurate session records

* Work in community-based settings including homes, libraries, and alternative provisions

Candidate Requirements as a SEN Tutor

* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN/SEND

* Knowledge of the UK curriculum and ability to adapt learning strategies

* Patient, empathetic, and reliable approach

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Confidence delivering 1:1 tuition

* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
