Learning Support Assistant | East London | ASAP Start | £82.14-£100 per day

Reeson Education is recruiting for a committed Learning Support Assistant to join a thriving primary school in the borough of Waltham Forest. This Learning Support Assistant role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a real difference to children with special educational needs across Walthamstow, Leyton, Leytonstone, Chingford, Highams Park, and Woodford.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll be supporting pupils with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and Speech & Language needs. This Learning Support Assistant position involves working on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, helping children access their learning and develop both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing targeted support for pupils with SEN from EYFS to KS2
Delivering interventions under the guidance of teachers and the SENCO
Supporting children with EHCP plans to meet their individual targets
Helping pupils develop independence and confidence in the classroom
Using positive behaviour strategies to support emotional regulation

What We're Looking For:

Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar SEN role
A caring, patient approach with excellent communication skills
Understanding of different SEN needs and how to support them effectively
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Desirable:
Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or sensory strategies
