If you're a recent graduate passionate about supporting children with SEN and based in or around Edmonton, Southgate, Palmers Green, Enfield Town, Ponders End, Winchmore Hill, or Cockfosters, this Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunity is perfect for you.

The Role:

This Graduate Teaching Assistant role involves supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and those with EHCPs. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll gain hands-on experience working 1:1 and in small groups, developing essential skills for a career in education or specialized SEN support.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing tailored support for pupils with SEN from EYFS through to KS2
Assisting teachers with the delivery of differentiated lessons and interventions
Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and helping them build confidence
Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote engagement
Contributing to the monitoring and recording of pupil progress

What We're Looking For:

A degree in any subject (graduates with Psychology, Education, or SEN-related degrees particularly welcome)
Enthusiasm for working with children with additional needs and a willingness to learn
Patience, resilience, and excellent interpersonal skills
Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable:
Voluntary work, tutoring experience, or knowledge of Makaton/PECSWhy Join This School:
