Food & Nutrition Teacher (Secondary)

We are seeking a dedicated Food & Nutrition Teacher to deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition. You will inspire students to develop confidence, independence, and creativity while promoting healthy lifestyles.

The role includes:

• Planning and delivering inclusive, well-structured Food & Nutrition lessons

• Teaching practical cooking skills, food science, and nutrition theory

• Preparing students for GCSE assessments, including NEA coursework

• Maintaining excellent health, safety, and hygiene standards

• Supporting positive behaviour and contributing to pastoral care

• Working collaboratively within the DT department and wider school

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it

• Has experience teaching Food & Nutrition at KS3 and KS4

• Is organised, safety-conscious, and enthusiastic about food education

• Shares a strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
