Job Title
Pastoral and Wellbeing Mentor

Salary£31,276 – £33,364 per annum (Actual Annual Salary)
Start DateMarch 2026
ContractPermanent, 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, Term time + 5 Inset days + 1 week, based on‑site.

- Safeguard students and respond to wellbeing concerns; coordinate with families, colleagues and external agencies.
- Provide support and guidance to students experiencing emotional, social or behavioural difficulties.
- Serve as a point of contact for students requiring extra help outside the classroom.
- Work with the behaviour and leadership team to ensure high behavioural expectations.
- GCSE English and Maths, grade C or above.
- Experience working with young people in a pastoral role (preferably in a secondary school).
- Experience working with external agencies such as CAMHS, Social Services, ESWS, etc.
- Strong knowledge of contextual safeguarding issues.
- Understanding of how students learn and potential barriers to learning.
- Experience leading “Team around the Child/Family” meetings and attending child protection conferences.
