The RoleWe are seeking a committed, enthusiastic, and skilled Year 5 Class Teacher to join a thriving and inclusive 4-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Barnet. This is a full-time position, starting in February, and is suitable for both experienced teachers and confident ECTs with strong Key Stage 2 training.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 5 class and will work collaboratively within a large and supportive year group team. The school places high value on high-quality teaching, pupil wellbeing, and continuous professional development.

- Work collaboratively with parallel class teachers and support staff within Year 5

- Safeguard the welfare of children and promote a safe learning environment
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Ability to deliver engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working in a large or multi-form entry school
- Confidence using data to support pupil progress
- Commitment to inclusive practice and supporting diverse learning needs
- A supportive and collaborative teaching environment
- Shared planning across the year group
