Are you a skilled and compassionate Learning Support Assistant with experience supporting children with challenging behaviour and additional learning needs? ZEST Education is recruiting on behalf of a mainstream primary school in Fulham for a dedicated professional who can make a real difference!
Job DescriptionAs a Behaviour Learning Support Assistant, you will work one-to-one with a Year 3 pupil who is currently learning at Key Stage 1 level and displaying challenging behaviour. You'll play a vital role in promoting positive behaviour, confidence, engagement and academic progress in a supportive classroom environment. This is an immediate start at a mainstream Primary School in Fulham, role running until the end of the academic year, with standard school hours (08:30-16:00, Monday to Friday).
Key Responsibilities- Provide targeted behaviour support and behaviour management strategies to help the child access learning
- Build positive relationships with the pupil to encourage engagement and self-regulation
- Support access to the curriculum at the pupil's developmental level
- Collaborate with the class teacher and wider support team to implement bespoke learning plans
- Monitor progress, record behaviour and learning outcomes, and provide feedback
- Experience working with children with challenging behaviour
- Ability to support pupils with additional learning needs
- Strong understanding of behaviour strategies and positive reinforcement
- Patient, resilient, proactive and flexible approach
- Excellent communication skills and a team mindset
