St Paul's Cathedral - Assistant Safeguarding Officer

Location: Greater London

We are currently seeking an Assistant Safeguarding Officer to join our Safeguarding team in one of the most iconic buildings in the world, St Paul’s Cathedral.

p>Working closely with the Safeguarding Officer and the Diocese of London, you will play a vital role in embedding robust, up-to-date safeguarding practices throughout Cathedral life. This is a varied and impactful position, ensuring best practice across the Cathedral community.

Responsibilities ul> li>Delivering exceptional standards of safeguarding practice throughout the Cathedral. li>Overseeing case administration. li>Record-keeping and database management. li>Contributing to progressive policy development. li>Coordinating comprehensive safeguarding training. li>Project work. li>Providing initial safeguarding guidance to staff and volunteers, escalating concerns as needed under the Safeguarding Officer’s direction. /ul> Qualifications ul> li>Experience in safeguarding, welfare, social care, education, or youth work. li>Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice for children and adults at risk.
li>Ability to manage confidential records and sensitive information with integrity. li>Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. li>Clear, compassionate communication with staff, volunteers, and external partners. li>Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work independently. li>High discretion and professionalism. li>Good IT skills (databases, Word, Excel, secure systems). li>Emotional resilience and calm under pressure. /ul> Benefits ul> li>Our annual holiday allowance is 25 days plus 8 bank holidays.
