Overview
This post is designed to provide a wide range of educational experience for SpRs/StRs who wish to make a commitment to education as part of their career. This is a twelve month “out of programme” (OOPE) post aimed at those who wish to build on their personal teaching experience to develop expertise in educational theory and practice, and undertake supervised educational research.
Clinical responsibilities will be dependent on the post holder's clinical experience and will be tailored to the individual.
- Gain an understanding of simulation as an educational modality
- Be able to develop and run a simulation training episode at course director level
- Be provided with an opportunity to gain an educational qualification to the level of certificate or above

QualificationsSpRs or StRs in a clinical specialty, with personal teaching experience, who are committed to further education and educational research.
