Early Years Teacher

Early Years Teacher - MLD - South East London - Long-Term - Full-Time - January Start

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years Teacher to join a supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in South East London, working with pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

This is a long-term, full-time position starting in Jan, offering stability and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a crucial stage of pupils' development. You will be working in a nurturing, well-resourced environment that places strong emphasis on inclusion, communication, and individual progress.

Early Years Teacher Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with MLD

Create a safe, structured, and stimulating Early Years learning environment

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and SEN staff

Monitor and assess pupil progress in line with EHCP targets

Support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development

Maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues

Early Years Teacher Attributes:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

Experience teaching in Early Years (EYFS), SEN experience highly desirable

A strong understanding of Moderate Learning Difficulties and inclusive practice

A calm, patient, and adaptable teaching approach

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to a full-time, long-term role
