Overview

Secondary Teacher + Head of Year (TLR1B) is a full-time, permanent position starting September 2026 at an outstanding school in Hillingdon. The role is open to all teaching specialisms with a strong focus on pastoral responsibilities. This position can serve as a stepping stone into an Assistant Head Teacher role.

• Provide the combined duties of a Secondary Teacher and Head of Year (TLR1B).
• Maintain a minimal teaching timetable.
• Lead Year Group activities and pastoral support; responsibilities include attendance and welfare, behaviour, and parent liaison.
• Inspire and motivate pupils across KS3-5.
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare initiatives within the school.

• Strong academic record across Degree, A Levels, and GCSEs.
• Interest in making a daily positive difference for pupils.
• Ability to coach and mentor pupils to success.

• Located in the Borough of Hillingdon; good transport links via the tube.
