About the SchoolThe Royal Liberty School is a small comprehensive, 11-16, located close to Gidea Park Station. Triple Science 98% in each discipline;
English and Maths 9-4 78%.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join our supportive and successful faculty. All our students study Science with many completing Triple Science at GCSE level. Our boys are very enthusiastic about the study of this subject and take advantage of the many extra-curricular activities offered by the faculty (such as the Faraday Challenge and Lego Robotics).
Results in Science are consistently strong and Triple Science are all close to the National average.
We take a collaborative view of learning where good practice is shared through a structured INSET programme within school and across the Trust.
Responsibilities- Teach Science to students across the 11-16 age range, with many studying Triple Science at GCSE level.
- Contribute to a collaborative culture with a structured INSET programme.
- Support the school’s achievements in Science and participate in extra-curricular activities (e.g., Faraday Challenge, Lego Robotics).
- Support and promote a positive learning environment and pupil welfare.
- Enhanced DBS Check (included or to be completed as required).
- Permanent, Full Time position.
- Ability to teach Science and engage pupils; experience with Triple Science is advantageous.
- Excellent well-being support and medical cover through MyMedicash, including dental/vision support, therapy treatments, and access to private consultations; options to extend cover to a partner.
- Support towards achieving further qualifications and participation in leadership programmes (NPQML, NPQSL, NPQH and PiXL Leadership Programme).
