Are you a Maths graduate or experienced Maths tutor looking to gain further experience in education?

A well-regarded secondary school with a strong sixth form provision in Tower Hamlets is seeking an A-Level Maths Academic Mentor to support a small group of A-Level Mathematics students.

As an A-Level Maths Academic Mentor, you’ll work closely with sixth form pupils, delivering targeted academic support in small groups and 1:1 settings. The focus of this role is supporting students studying the Edexcel A-Level Mathematics specification, particularly the Applied units:
Statistics and Mechanics.

• Providing small-group and 1:1 support for A-Level Maths students
• Delivering focused intervention for Statistics and Mechanics content
• Supporting students’ exam preparation and problem-solving skills
• Assisting learners who require additional academic guidance

This role is ideal for aspiring Maths teachers or graduates with a strong interest in post-16 education and A-Level Mathematics.

• A Maths-related degree with strong A-Level Maths results
• In-depth knowledge of the Edexcel A-Level Maths curriculum
• Confidence supporting Statistics and Mechanics modules
• Previous Maths tutoring experience is highly desirable
• Commitment from January to July 2026
