We are seeking to expand our apprentice skills coach provision in the Faculty of Engineering and Science at the University of Greenwich. A suitable candidate would be pro-active with excellent interpersonal skills to support trainee professionals across a range of disciplines.
Responsibilities- Meet with apprentices and their employers to review progress against the apprenticeship standards.
- Work with apprentices on achieving their End Point Assessment.
- Be the initial point of contact for apprentices within the Faculty, providing information, advice and guidance.
- Monitor progress against relevant standards and maintain strong relationships in this developing field.
- Conduct regular reviews with apprentices and their line managers using a coaching approach to develop and apply Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours in the workplace to stay on track for timely completion.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Faculty and across centralised University teams; matrix managed by the Head of Apprenticeships.
- Excellent administration and digital skills with a dedicated and flexible approach to working to ensure high levels of learner achievement.
- Knowledge and understanding of higher level and degree apprenticeship programmes; experience in a similar role is essential.
- Ability to work in a professional services team across multiple campuses (Medway and Greenwich) and to engage with colleagues across the Faculty and central teams.
